Cheif Operating Officer
John Fitzgibbon understands how to design and develop immersive, themed environments that capture the attention of participants and engage their imagination. He brings nearly 25 years of development experience in themed attractions, hotels and theme parks to his role of Chief Operating Officer of TEQ Games. Together with the company’s leadership, he is focused on creating compelling and immersive learning experiences through virtual world game play and simulation technology.
Fitzgibbon spent 15 years with Universal Creative, where he rose to the position of senior director, Attractions Development and managed the department responsible for all design and construction at Universal Orlando Parks and Citywalk. In this role, his main focus was to ensure guest experiences were elevated to new heights in creativity and cutting-edge technology. During his time there, he oversaw such projects as CityWalk, The Mummy Attraction, Terminator 2 in 3-D, Royal Pacific Resort, and Hardrock Hotel.
Most recently, Fitzgibbon partnered in a retail development company where he led the real estate development process by guiding projects through concept to operation. He was founder of a development consulting company providing expertise to clients in design, construction and real estate clients. In his role as President of the company, Fitzgibbon has gained extensive knowledge in the start up and operations of newly found companies.
Fitzgibbon is a graduate of Clarkson University, with a BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
