Chief Creative Officer

Marc Watson (www.marcwatson.com) is an engineer, director, writer, and producer, and serves as the Chief Creative Officer of TEQGames at Universal Studios. He is also the President of Imagine Creative Technology LLC, a Universal Studios Florida-based company that seeks to identify and develop business opportunities where the Modeling, Simulation & Training, Film/Television, Immersive and Interactive Entertainment industries converge.

A graduate of The United States Naval Academy and former U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer, Watson has a diverse experience in development of training and education systems. He served as the Operations Officer at the Naval Construction Training Center responsible for the development of a broad range of curriculum and immersive training experiences for both active duty and reserve Seabee Battalions. As a Reserve CEC Officer, Watson developed two-week "war games" scenarios for active duty training of naval reservists in Holy Loch, Scotland and London, England.

Following six years of active duty in the Navy, Watson transferred to the Navy Reserve and founded Watson Engineering, Inc., a design-build engineering and project development firm. In eight years of business, the company was retained for increasingly greater project responsibilities including capital facility programs in excess of $150 million. In 1992, Sverdrup Corporation, one of the nation's largest engineering and development firms, acquired the company. Watson joined Sverdrup as a senior corporate officer and head of Southeast U.S. operations.

While at Sverdrup, Watson served as the Principal for the design contract for Jurassic Park at Universal's Island's of Adventure. Upon completion of this design, he joined Universal Studios as a Director responsible for the design and development of Super Hero Island, including the Amazing Adventure's of Spiderman, the Incredible Hulk Coaster, and other immersive rides and experiences of this great themed attraction. In 1999, following the completion of Island's of Adventure, Watson was designated the Director of Development for Universal City Property Management, a Universal Studios subsidiary charged with Orlando expansion activities. In 2003, Watson became the President of Universal City Properties, retiring from that position in 2008 to start Imagine Creative Technology.

Watson is a Registered Professional Engineer and a degreed Ocean Engineer. He has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal, and is a licensed pilot and certified diver.
